Chocolate Cinnamon Cake {GF, DF, sugar-free}

  • 4 eggs

  • 0.5 cup honey

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Zest of one orange

  • Juice of one orange

  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon

  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg

  • 1 tbsp cacao

  • 0.5 tsp baking soda

  • 1.5 cups almond flour

  • Pinch of salt

  • Cooking spray to oil the pan

Directions

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 ° F.

  2. Whisk honey and eggs in the wet ingredients bowl until its creamy.

  3. Add vanilla extract, orange zest, orange juice, cacao, spices and baking soda.

  4. Mix in the almond flour until a velvety texture is reached.

  5. Spray the baking pan with cooking spray.

  6. Pour mixture into the pan until it reaches 1/3 of the pan's height.

  7. Place your pan in the oven for 25-30 minutes, depending on your oven.

  8. Place a tooth pick into the cake and when it comes out dry its ready to rest out. If it's still wet, keep it in the oven for 5-10 minutes while keeping an eye on it.

  9. Let the cake rest for 15 minutes.

  10. Flip the cake onto a plate to serve. Enjoy it with tea and share with someone you love!
